We all have those products that we leap to on a day to day basis and completely adore (more than we probably should!). Many of my Holy Grail products are items that we are all too familiar with and cannot escape, but hey they're loved for a reason right? So here is a rundown of some of my favourite products, as there is not enough internet space in the world for me to list everything!!
1) Mac Paint Pot in Painterly: Ok so we've all heard of this perfect nude eyeshadow base,
and it does exactly what it says on the tin. I simply pop this under my eye shadows everyday and it makes them last 100x longer. Its one of those 'my eyelid colour, but better' products, so is perfect for even a no makeup day. I bought this product over a year ago (probably need to buy a new one), use it every single day and I still have plenty left so I've completely got my moneys worth out of it!!!
2) By Terry Ombre Black Star in 'Misty Rock': So this is probably one of my most expensive (eeek) makeup products, but was completely worth the money. The texture is so creamy and simply flows across the lids which a gorgeous amount of pigment. I either blend this over my whole eyelid, then bring some under my lower lash line or use it in the outer crease when paired with ANOTHER Ombre Blackstar in the colour Blonde Opal. These products are so long lasting, and do not need any touching up during the day, or on a night out.
3) Palmers Lip Butter: There are no words for this product, but pure heaven!! I've been using this for about two years and I love it more each time I use it. It is so buttery (ironic really) which means it moisturizes lips so well and really helps to heal/prevent those chapped lips that we all know to well. I've tried other lip balms, like vaseline and EOS, but nothing quite compares to this one (plus the body butter is also a-m-a-z-i-n-g).
4) The Body Shop All-In-One InstaBlur: I've been using this primer for over a year now, and I still cannot find one to beat it. It's a silicone based primer which means it glides onto skin and smoothes over pores and lines. It helps to mattify my skin and make my make-up last all day, which is exactly what we need a primer for. It also makes applying foundation so much easier, due to my skin appearing softer and pores being reduced. However it does claim to 'control shine for 12 hours', I wouldn't agree to this extremity but it does the job and who really has makeup on for 12 hours straight without re-touching? I've tried some other hyped up primers (Benefit and Bare Minerals), but this one beats them all for a fraction of the price!
5) Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc: Here we go, another post about sheer glow, but this product really deserves the hype. You don't need much of this to create a flawless look, which strays away from the common cakey look. Personally I wouldn't describe this foundation as sheer, but instead as jewy. It makes my skin look fresh and awake, but not oily. It is also extremely buildable so is suitable for both day and evening. The only negative point about this foundation is that it doesn't come with a pump, this has led to me pouring out WAY to much, many times (it also becomes veryyyyy messy).
6) MAC Twig Lipstick: Finally, what would a Holy Grail post be without a MAC lipstick? This shade is a Satin finish which means it's semi-matte lipstick, but is no where near as drying as a matte lipstick. The colour is dark pinky brown nude, which seems to compliment my pale skin perfectly! The pigment is really strong which means it lasts for ages, especially when paired with a lip liner. This one of those shades that I could not be without anymore, and when it runs out I may have a break down (I bought it in Times Square, which makes it pretty special to me). Who knew so many emotions could be attached to a lipstick?
