So today I stumbled into boots and superdrug and could not resist some new additions to my collection. My eyes are always drawn to the little blue 'new' signs in boots, so a few of these were bought with no prior research (very unlike me).
The first product that I came across was Bourjois' new Aqua Blush 12 Hr, I picked this up in 'cocoricorail' which evidently is a coral colour. I am yet to try this on my cheeks, but from swatching on my hand I could tell that these are designed to be sheer and create a natural pop of colour. I'm excited to try this little gem, and feel that it may be my go to blush for the rest of summer (or what England seems to think summer is).
Finding a good drugstore contour product use to be a real struggle, but all the brands seem to be upping their game recently and Seventeen is no exception. The packaging of this duo is very Nars-esque, so I was curious to find out if the product could match the expectation that it had brought upon itself.
Both powders are creamy and soft in texture, with a matte finish. Normally I prefer a highlight with a slight shimmer (Nars Copacobana being my favourite), but there are some occasions where we don't want a shimmering face but instead a matte and defined look. The contour colour is slightly warm toned rather than taupe-y, which means it may be more suitable for bronzing. That being said the formula of these are amazing and for £5.99 I could not resist giving it a go.
To add to my coral obsession I picked up one of Max-Factors Lipfinity Long Lasting Lipsticks in the shade Forever striking. I felt that this gorgeous orange coral would go perfectly with the Bourjois Aqua Cream (and a new top that I picked up the other day). I applied this for the first time earlier today, and it does exactly what it is set out to do; the pigment is really strong, while the formula is matte but still creamy. It has lasted on my lips for hours and will definitely be my go to lip product for the next few months.
Last but not least, I invested in a Makeup Revolution concealer palette. My skin tone is notorious for changing (mainly due to fake tan), so I felt that it was time to invest in a concealer palette which means I can swap and change, dependent on the day. I'm just hoping that this will live up to my expectations and save me from buying every colour of Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer!
